October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month
For over a decade, I have been joining members of the Down syndrome community. The purpose of the month is to raise awareness and celebrate people with Down syndrome. One of the well-known events of the Awareness month is the Buddy Walk. Over the years, I’ve attended a variety of Buddy Walks in Cincinnati (my first in 2013 though I didn’t think to snap a photo!), Columbus, and in Boston.

To celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month this year, I am planning to share some of my recent research, a variety of resources from the community, and general information on Down syndrome.
